Hij overbrugt de kloof tussen politiek en praktijk door het aanbieden van strategisch advies en beleidsformatie aan overheden, bedrijfsleven en organisaties over de hele wereld. In 2009 richtte hij de onafhankelijke Britse denktank ResPublica op. Daarnaast is hij academicus, journalist en auteur.

Voorheen was Blond senior docent theologie en filosofie aan de universiteiten van Exeter en Cumbria. Hij is auteur van Red Tory (2010), waarin hij de kern van Britse politiek herdefinieerde rond ideeën over de verbinding tussen burgers, wederzijds eigendom en sociaal ondernemerschap.

Zijn ideeën hebben geholpen om de Britse en internationale politiek te herdefiniëren. Hij is co-architect en voorstander van de Britse 'Big Society'. Phillip Blond is an internationally recognised political thinker, philosopher, and social and economic commentator. He bridges the gap between politics and practice, offering strategic consultation and policy formation to governments, businesses and organisations across the world. He founded the independent British think tank ResPublica in 2009 and is an academic, journalist and author.

Prior to entering politics and public policy he was a senior lecturer in theology and philosophy – teaching at the Universities of Exeter and Cumbria.
