Suetens is also Head of the Division for Image and Speech Processing at the Department of Electrical Engineering of K.U.Leuven (http://www.esat.kuleuven.be/psi). He is author of more than 500 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conference proceedings and author of the book “Fundamentals of Medical Imaging” (2nd ed.). He is involved in several graduate (Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences) and postgraduate programs (Advanced Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering). He is associate editor of IEEE Transactions of Medical Imaging, and has been a member of several research councils and commissions. He is co-founder of two spin-off companies of the K.U.Leuven.
