Over deze serie
Where does creativity stem from? Tag along on a exploration and discover how scientists from different disciplines approach creativity. How do you research something that is so elusive?
A creative person thinks outside the box and distinguishes his or herself by being innovative. But creativity is not just something from a genius individual, also the context such as the city and time wherein you live can have an influence. What is a creative city and why is that economically significant? What makes that one period in history is more creative than another? Can you learn to be creative or do you have to break certain rules and dare to make mistakes? If we know how it works in the brain, can we than simulates the creative process with computers?
Scientists from different fields of expertise explain how they research creativity, from neuroscientist to historian and from music scientist tot city geographer. What role does creativity play in science itself?
